Professional Biography of Kevin J. Barr
Kevin J. Barr has been selling boilers, burners and ancillary equipment in the Chicago
area since 1982. Over the years, he has established many long standing relationships
with the consulting engineering community and also with mechanical contractors.
His primary function is to assist mechanical engineers in the design and specification
of safe, efficient boiler plants. He has been the boiler equipment supplier on numerous
institutions including universities, senior and junior high schools, water and sewage
treatment plants, and correctional facilities. He has also done considerable private
sector work including residential high-rises and manufacturing facilities. Government
projects include multiple boilers for the United States Navy and the Postal Service.
He is a member of the Illinois Chapter of ASHRAE. Kevin is regarded for the service
he provides after sales, including in a rare instance, the complete change-out of
defective equipment beyond the warranty period. Specific high school projects include:
Taft, Wheaton, Batavia, Stevenson, and Lake Forest. College and university projects
include: DePaul University, Concordia College, Northeastern University, and Monmouth
College. Private sector projects of note include: Motorola, Hyatt Hotels, Nutrasweet,
United Air Lines, Sprint, and Marriot Hotels.
